The Brigade of Gurkhas Training Team (BTT) conducted Exercise TIGER HIDNE MANCHE(Ex THM) in the Brecon Beacons National Park, Wales. Leading the exercise was Colour Sergeant Tularam Sharu Magar, who currently serves as part of the Directing Staff at the BTT.

The primary objective of the exercise was to foster leadership, resilience, and effective decision-making in high-pressure scenarios, while also strengthening teamwork, improving navigation skills, and enhancing summer mountaineering abilities. Over the course of seven days, the team undertook a challenging 140km hike through the rugged terrain of the Black Mountains in Wales, pushing the boundaries of their endurance and resilience as they navigated mountains, valleys, and boggy ground.

The expedition received valuable support from two seasoned external instructors, Colour Sergeant Anil Chhetri (CAMS) and Corporal Milan Tamang (Gurkha Company, Catterick). As a result of their efforts, 11 team members successfully obtained the Summer Mountain Foundation qualification during the exercise.
