Gurkha Staff and Personnel Support (GSPS), marked its 15th Anniversary on 20 June 2026 at Worthy Down, bringing together serving personnel, families, veterans and honorary members to celebrate fifteen years of service to the British Army and the Brigade of Gurkhas.

The event opened with an official photograph and a cake cutting ceremony led by Brigadier A D Griffiths OBE (Colonel of the Regiment), accompanied by Major Anil Gurung (Commander GSPS). In line with Gurkha Kaida, the organisation’s most junior member recounted the history and achievements of GSPS.

The Heaten Cup Final proved a highlight, with the Queen’s Gurkha Signals RAO Detachment defeating the QOGLR RAO Detachment. Families enjoyed volleyball matches, and a Taekwondo display by Lance Corporal Suraj Sinthan and team concluded with the unveiling of the GSPS 15th Anniversary logo.

A formal evening function at the Warrant Officers’ and Sergeants’ Mess featured music from the GSPS Band and recognised outstanding achievements: Sergeant Sangam Gurung was named GSPS SNCO of the Year 2025, and Corporal Suraj Gurung received GSPS JNCO of the Year 2025.

The gathering also provided an opportunity to bid farewell to several valued members of the GSPS family who were transferred to AGC (SPS): Captain Sagar Sherchan, Lieutenant Starsun Thamsuhang, Warrant Officer Class Two Lok Jirel and Corporal Tsesang Gurung. Their contributions to GSPS were acknowledged and warmly appreciated by Comd GSPS and GSPS families. Special tributes were paid to Col David Robinson OBE and Maj Narendra Kumar Gurung in recognition of their exceptional service and enduring contribution to GSPS and Brigade of Gurkhas.

Marking fifteen years, the anniversary reaffirmed GSPS values of service, professionalism and teamwork, and celebrated the enduring bonds that make GSPS a true Pariwar.
