On 7 August 2025, The Band of the Brigade of Gurkhas had the privilege of providing musical accompaniment for the largest passing out parade of the British Army in a generation. It took place at the Army Foundation College (AFC) in Harrogate. 750 Junior Soldiers marched onto the parade square.
The parade marked the end of Basic Training for the 16 and 17-year-olds after months of hard work and dedication during which they undertook various military training, fitness, and education tasks that culminated in a vigorous two-week battle camp and tactical exercise, preparing them for Army life. Over 5,000 family members watched as their loved ones graduated and marched on the parade square showing the skills they had learned over the past year.

The inspecting officer for the parade was General Sir Roly Walker (Chief of the General Staff, British Army). Other key guests included Sir Gareth Southgate, former England football manager.
