The Defence School of Transport was proud to support Exercise HUMBERSIDE NIGHT CHALLENGE 26, an overnight resilience event that brought together military personnel, including Gurkhas from the Queen’s Own Gurkha Logistic Regiment (QOGLR), alongside Humberside Police and Regional Emergency Services. More than 250 young people, staff and volunteers took part in this demanding challenge designed to build confidence, teamwork and personal resilience.

Peninsular Troop, led by Captain Ganesh and coordinated by Corporal Rabin, with support from Corporal Simmonds and eight Gurkhas from QOGLR, delivered a high‑impact military stand focused on anti‑social behaviour awareness and a fire‑and‑smoke escape scenario. Using beer/smoke simulation goggles, participants navigated a controlled obstacle lane that tested communication, composure and decision‑making under pressure, quickly becoming one of the standout activities of the night.

The team also welcomed representatives from North Wales Police, British Transport Police and The Tribune Trust, showcasing the strong partnerships that underpin this event.

A powerful demonstration of Army professionalism, collaboration and commitment to inspiring the next generation.
