Liberation Day Parade in Guernsey with Gurkha Company (Sittang)
Gurkha Company (Sittang), alongside pensioners from the Royal Hospital Chelsea, took part in the Liberation Day parade on Guernsey Island on 9 May 2025. It was a particularly special occasion as it marked the 80th anniversary of the Liberation of Guernsey Island in 1945 from the German invasion.
The team was led by Captain Cholanath Limbu, accompanied by nine personnel from the Company.
Her Royal Highness Princess Anne, represented His Majesty the King and a 21-gun salute was conducted to commemorate the day, which concluded with a ceremonial cavalcade.
