Musician Sagar Pulami received a 2* commendation from Major General James Bowder OBE (General Officer Commanding London District). Musician Sagar played a crucial role on the bass drum during the Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III on the 6th of May 2023. As a young bass drummer, he played a vital role in the ten-day-long, challenging rehearsals and the actual procession. He ensured a constant tempo of 108 beats per minute to control the pace of the troops. This 108 beat pace is slower than normal marching pace to allow the parade to move smoothly as one body.
