Sustaining the Fight in New Zealand

During Exercise PACIFIC KHUKURI 26, the Catering Support Team from the Queen’s Own Gurkha Logistic Regiment was attached to B Company, The Second Battalion, The Royal Gurkha Rifles. Operating in austere field conditions, the team upheld exceptionally high standards, delivering nutritious, morale boosting meals that directly supported both operational effectiveness and soldier welfare. Their professionalism and dedication were warmly appreciated by all ranks.

In recognition of their outstanding service, the team received a commendation from the Chief of General Staff of the New Zealand Army, Major General Rose King.

Additionally, Sergeant Bikash Gurung was presented with a One Star Coin by the Defence Adviser, Commander Michael Proudman (Royal Navy), acknowledging his exemplary leadership, commitment, and unwavering support to the mission.

A superb demonstration of Gurkha skill, resilience, and service ethos.
