The Queen’s Gurkha Engineers Intake Rising Cup 2026

36 Engineer Regiment and The Queen’s Gurkha Engineers (QGE) hosted the 14th Intake Rising Cup. This event brings together QGE members and their families from across the Brigade for a day of competition. The event featured 18 football teams representing various intakes, alongside three ladies’ volleyball teams.

This year, Intake 20 secured victory in a closely contested final against Intake 24.

Organised by 68 Gurkha Field Support Squadron and led by Sergeant Ganesh Khatri, the tournament showcased strong teamwork, determination and sportsmanship. The competition reinforced the enduring bonds and pride that unite the Gurkha community. The event fostered friendship, mutual respect and a shared sense of belonging.
