The inaugural Brigade of Gurkhas Inter Unit T20 Cricket Competition took place from 17–19 June 2026 at the Aldershot Army Cricket Ground, marking a significant step in strengthening sporting excellence, teamwork, and esprit de corps across the Brigade.
Teams representing 10 The Queen’s Own Gurkha Logistic Regiment (10 QOGLR), Queen’s Gurkha Signals (QG SIGNALS), Queen’s Gurkha Engineers (QGE), and the King’s Gurkha Artillery (KGA) competed across three days of high‑quality cricket. Players displayed outstanding skill, discipline, resilience, and sportsmanship, ensuring the competition’s first edition was an unequivocal success.
After a series of closely contested fixtures, QG SIGNALS emerged as tournament champions, with 10 QOGLR finishing as runners‑up, and QGE securing the Plate Cup.
As the first event of its kind, the competition has laid a strong foundation for what is set to become a key annual fixture within the Brigade of Gurkhas sporting calendar, promoting cohesion, morale, and healthy inter‑unit rivalry.
