2 RGR Winners in Hawaii at Major Military Training Team Event

A team from The Second Battalion, The Royal Gurkha Rifles (2 RGR) has secured first place at the Pacific Land Forces Team Readiness Challenge, held on Oahu, Hawaii, 1–6 May 2026.

This inaugural competition brought together nine teams from across the Pacific Theatre, testing their readiness, cohesion and ability to operate effectively in demanding, mission‑focused scenarios.

By claiming the title of Best Squad, the 2 RGR team demonstrated exceptional professionalism, resilience and tactical excellence. Their success underscores the vital role of this new event in strengthening interoperability, enhancing team‑building, and supporting a free and open Indo‑Pacific.
