To commemorate the 15th anniversary of the Gurkha Staff and Personnel Support (GSPS), personnel serving with British Gurkhas Nepal (BGN) delivered a programme of events that reflected the organisation’s enduring commitment to camaraderie, community, environmental stewardship and charitable service.
The celebrations began on 30 June 2026 at Yatri Mess, BGN, attended by Lieutenant Colonel Rob Browne (Deputy Commander BGN), GSPS personnel and their families. On 3 July, members undertook a tree‑planting initiative at the Godavari Botanical Garden, reinforcing GSPS’s dedication to environmental responsibility, before joining GSPS Regimental Association Nepal (RAN) members for a birthday gathering.
A standout feature of the anniversary programme was a charity mountain bike ride across the Kathmandu Valley. Riders visited 15 historic sites in honour of GSPS’s 15 years of service, raising funds for Project KAIDA. This is the redevelopment of the Gurkha Museum in Winchester, scheduled to reopen in early 2027.
The anniversary events captured the spirit of GSPS, strengthening bonds of friendship, supporting the wider community, and championing environmental care, while proudly marking fifteen years of service, professionalism and achievement.
