Climbing Mount Kenya to Raise Funds for Project KAIDA

Colour Sergeant Santosh Rai (The Second Battalion, The Royal Gurkha Rifles), who is currently deployed in Kenya, is undertaking a fundraising initiative in support of Project KAIDA, a major redevelopment programme of the Gurkha Museum in Winchester, UK. He will be attempting to submit Mount Kenya between 28 to 30 November 2025.
Mount Kenya stands at an impressive 5,199 meters (17,057 feet) above sea level, making it the highest peak in Kenya and the second-highest mountain in Africa, after Mount Kilimanjaro.
