Exercise GOTHA JAANE 2026 – Queen’s Gurkha Signals
Personnel from the Queen’s Gurkha Signals, the Gurkha Officers’ Club and officers of the Royal Corps of Signals gathered at MOD Stafford for Exercise GOTHA JAANE 26, an annual event designed to strengthen regimental cohesion and support informed leadership across the Paltan.
The programme centred on the annual general meeting, chaired by the Gurkha Major, followed by a focused brainstorming workshop. These sessions provided a valuable forum to examine key Regimental matters, consider emerging challenges and develop practical recommendations to guide decision‑making within Queen’s Gurkha Signals.
The weekend also incorporated recreational activities and a Regimental Dinner Night, during which newly commissioned officers were formally welcomed, notable achievements were recognised and heartfelt farewells were offered to five retiring officers and their families.
Exercise GOTHA JAANE continues a tradition dating back to the days of Gurkha service in Hong Kong. The 2026 iteration proved both productive and meaningful, reflecting the enduring unity, professionalism and shared commitment that define the Paltan.
