With immense pride and heartfelt joy, we celebrate a historic moment as our former member; Lieutenant Colonel (Retd) Tolbahadur Khamcha, the 23rd Gurkha Major (Queen’s Gurkha Signals), is appointed to The King’s Guard, the first Gurkha in over 210 years Gurkha service to the British Crown. He will play a key part in all Royal ceremonies.

This remarkable appointment is not only a significant pride and honour for the Queen’s Gurkha Signals, but also a moment of immense pride for the entire Brigade of Gurkhas and the people of Nepal.

We wish him every success as he steps into this prestigious role, continuing to inspire many of us generations to come
