Gurkha Photography Competition 2020 – The Results

The winner of the Gurkha Photography Competition 2020

Over the last few months, we have been running our 2020 Gurkha Photography competition, inviting members of the Brigade and veterans to submit their best images taken between 1st June 2019 – 31st August 2020.

The winner – Corporal Isu Pun (Queen’s Own Gurkha Logistic Regiment)

We have had some fantastic images submitted and it was a tough decision to decide on the top three.

Colonel Brigade of Gurkhas and the Headquarters Brigade of Gurkhas media team sat down to looked at all the entries from an image quality perspective but also looking at the merit and value to our Brigade and culture that the images offered.

The second image by Major Ben Norfield (The Royal Gurkha Rifles) and the third image by Corporal Ranjib Limbu (The Second Battalion, The Royal Gurkha Rifles) are also shown below. And the video at the bottom of this page is a collation of other entries entered.

Watch out for details about the 2021 competition which may include a video section as well as still images.
