Gurkha Success at the Taekwondo ITF World Cup 2026
Lance Corporal (LCpl) Sagar Samsher Kunwar and Signaller (Sig) Jeegyashu Rana (Queen’s Gurkha Signals), both represented the British Armed Forces at the Taekwondo ITF World Cup in Lethbridge, Canada, from 4–5 July 2026.
LCpl Sagar Samsher Kunwar delivered an outstanding performance, securing:
- Gold Medal – Patterns (Senior Black Belt, Men 18–39)
Sig Jeegyashu Rana
- Silver Medal – Patterns (Men 18–39)
- Silver Medal – Continuous Sparring (Men 18–39)
- Bronze Medal – Point Sparring (Men 18–39)
