During their time in Nepal on recruiting duty in Pokhara for Recruit Intake 24, Private Manik Lama and Private Umesh Libang, both Chefs from the Queen’s Own Gurkha Logistic Regiment, were leaving the Camp when they spotted a young lady climbing over the side of the Seti River Bridge. Recognizing the danger, they swiftly approached the lady and prevented her from taking her own life. Their prompt action ultimately saved the young woman’s life, showcasing remarkable courage and selflessness.
