Gurkha Allied Rapid Reaction Corps Support Battalion (GARRC Sp Bn) proudly represented the UK Armed Forces when personnel deployed on Exercise BERSAMA LIMA 25 in Malaysia from 15 September – 10 October 25. Working alongside Five Power Defence Arrangements (FPDA) partners (UK, Australia, Malaysia, Singapore and New Zealand) in a tri-service deployment.
The team completed Combat Enhancement and Force Integration Training (CET/FIT), followed by a five-day warfighting exercise in the Malaysian jungle, demonstrating professionalism, teamwork, and soldiering excellence.


Three personnel received awards for outstanding performance:
- Rifleman Deepen Gurung (The Royal Gurkha Rifles) – FPDA Coin for best soldier.
- Lance Corporall Tularaj (The Queen’s Gurkha Engineers) – Brigade Commander’s Coin for leadership and support.
- Private Yam Thapa (Queen’s Own Gurkha Logistic Regiment) – SG Brigade Sergeant Major’s Coin for outstanding skills and knowledge sharing.
A successful deployment showcasing the capability, adaptability, and dedication of GARRC Sp Bn.
