Recruit Intake 24 Start Their Journey

The lucky few selected to join the Brigade of Gurkhas last week, are preparing for their Attestation parade in Pokhara on Friday. Then within a few days, they will be in the UK and starting their training in Catterick.

After many months and some cases years of training and preparation, Gurkha Recruit Intake 24 were selected from many thousands, down to the lucky 336. They are spending the first week in Pokhara preparing to Attest in to the British Army in front of the Head of the British Army, General Sir Patrick Sanders KCB CBE DSO ADC Gen (Chief of the General Staff).

The parade will take place in the Pokhara Camp on Friday 2nd of February, in front of senior staff, guests and family members. The young Gurkhas then get to say goodbye to their family members you could attend the event and within a few days will board flights to the UK and move to Catterick for 39-weeks of training.
