On the 13th of April 2024, 247 Gurkha Signal Squadron hosted HQ 104 Theatre Sustainment Brigade, in Sennelager, Germany for messing to celebrate Nepali New Year. The Regimental Signal Detachment Commander Course (RSDC) run by the Combat Communications and Information Systems (CIS) School in Bovington. In the first RSDC course of 2024, Lance Corporal Youncho Hang Angdambe from The Second Battalion, The Royal Gurkha Rifles secured top student with an Instructor recommendation. Rimna village in Nepal suffered severe damage during the earthquake that occurred in Western Nepal on the 3rd of November 23. Major General Gerald Strickland DSO MBE presented the donations collected by the Brigade of Gurkhas community to Mr. Dipak Rana, Chair of Bheri Municipality-1, where Rimna village is situated. Corporal Santosh Tamang Queen’s Gurkha Engineers

Corporal Santosh Tamang Queen’s Gurkha Engineers currently assigned to Gurkha Training Company at Infantry Training Center, Catterick has been awarded, the British Army North Most Outstanding Sportsman award. The award was open to all personnel regular and reserve, who have completed regularly within the Army Sport North Trophy Competition 23. The nominations were selected from 12 British Army major and minor units across the North of the UK. #gurkha #soldiers #britisharmy #awards
