Kanchenjunga Base Camp (North) at 5,143m above sea level
Personnel from the Infantry Training Centre Catterick, successfully completed Exercise Northern Bayonet Warrior 26 (Ex NBW), trekking to basecamp of the world’s third highest peak.

Kanchenjunga Base Camp (North) sits at 5,143m high, beneath the majestic Mt. Kanchenjunga, the world’s third highest peak. One of the most remote and demanding trails in eastern Nepal, the journey tested endurance, resilience, leadership, and teamwork at every step.

6 members of the team qualified as Summer Mountain Foundation (SMF) leaders during the expedition.
This was an unforgettable experience that also deepened cultural understanding of the Gurkhas and Nepal for many of the team.
