On the 18th of January 2024, a Chief of the General Staff’s commendation was awarded to the late Suraj Rai, who worked in the Recruit Cell Clerk, at British Gurkhas Nepal (BGN), Pokhara.
The commendation was presented to her daughter Miss Saiyotza Rai by Major D R Carter, Officer Commanding British Gurkhas Pokhara and Major Gyanbahadur Dhenga, Gurkha Major BGN.
