Former Gurkha Officer, Ash Alexander-Cooper OBE, has officially launched his new book, ‘Mindful Soldier’, a guide to building resilience to overcome life’s challenges; with Dr Jessica K. Miller.
Ash, a former officer in The Royal Gurkha Rifles (RGR) and a specialist unit commander, spent over two decades leading teams in some of the world’s most high-pressure environments. Now, he is distilling those years of elite military experience into a guide for resilience, leadership, and mental clarity in the modern world. Drawing on first-hand experiences and cutting-edge research, Alexander-Cooper and Miller deliver an unparalleled perspective on resilience and healing, making Mindful Soldier a must-read for anyone seeking to adapt, learn and thrive in the face of adversity.
Ash served in the Former Yugoslavia, Northern Ireland, Iraq (where he was severely injured) and Afghanistan. He encouraged many Gurkhas to join specialist military units, where they thrived.
Ash has very generously arranged for all author’s profits from book sales to go to supporting the Gurkha Welfare Trust and Royal British Legion Industries.
