Gurkha Selected for the Army Football Team

Private Ronal Rai (Queen’s Own Gurkha Logistic Regiment), has been selected to represent the Army in Football at both U23 and senior level. He is the first Gurkha soldier to achieve representation at both U23 and senior Army level. Football continues to be played competitively throughout the Army. It remains the ‘soldier’s sport’ and is enjoyed by all ranks at various levels of competition throughout the season.
