Personnel from Gurkha Company (Sittang) (GCS). who are based at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, deployed to Gibraltar Barracks, Minley, for Exercise SITTANG URBAN WARRIOR. This was a rigorous one-day and night training exercise, designed to enhance operational capability in urban warfare environments.

The high-intensity exercise focused on firsthand, scenario-based training, aimed at developing soldiers’ proficiency in the conduct of operations within complex urban terrains. Core training objectives included approach, breaching, and building clearance drills, conducted in both day and night conditions. The activity culminated in a confirmatory Section and Platoon Battle Exercise, making full use of specialist urban training facilities and equipment. A vital component of the exercise was the development of command and control skills within the urban environment. Platoon Commanders and Platoon Sergeants were afforded the opportunity to plan, direct, and execute missions under realistic conditions, enabling Gurkha Company (Sittang) to refresh and refine its core urban warfare competencies.
