On 20 February 2026, Gurkha Company (Sittang), based at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, observed Sittang Day at Nepal Lines, Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, to honour all brave soldiers who fought and died during the campaign.
The battle honour recognises the intense fighting by Gurkha regiments during the retreat (1942) and subsequent offensive (1945) along the Sittang River.
